Under the direction of the course Instructor and/or department Director, evaluates correspondence, documents, and assesses materials prepared by Distance Education departmental students. Maintains a variety of class/student information on the Learning Management System (LMS). May tutor individual or small groups of students, as needed.
High school diploma or equivalent plus two years education at an accredited institution in a major or discipline related to the Summary of Duties or an associate’s degree in a discipline related to the Summary of Duties is required.
Have completed course with a B+ or better.
Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheets, Learning Management System and presentation software.
Good verbal and written communication skills to provide concrete and effective feedback.
Ability to work independently, make decisions, follow verbal and written instructions and meet deadlines.
Ability to assess student work according to faculty and general instructional standards.
Ability to maintain confidentiality of student records.
