The Assistant Director, Supply Stores will oversee day to day operations for one or more functional areas within the University Supply Stores. Responsibilities could include preparing locations for operation, supervising staff, monitoring inventory, and/or resolving employee and customer complaints or concerns.

Additional Department Summary:

The Assistant Director Course Materials oversees the Supply Store's Course Materials operations. This position is responsible for impacting and maintaining the Supply Store's ongoing shift from being a traditional academic bookseller to being the primary provider of all course material formats to the University of Alabama community. This position ensures that enhanced course material formats as well as technological changes are available through multiple distribution channels to the UA community either through the Supply Store's website or UA's learning management software. In addition, this position ensures that all course materials format options are processed correctly both internally within the Supply Store and externally within the UA community so that all Federal and State mandates are in compliance. This position is part of the Store Management Team, responsible for performing specific operational functions on WinPrism, the Inventory Management System or Point of Sale systems on an as needed basis, as well as responsible for opening and closing the store. This position will serve as liaison between the Supply Store and the Academic Departments.

Required Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree and a minimum of two (2) years of related experience; OR Masters's degree and some related experience; OR two (2) years of related college coursework and a minimum of six (6) years of retail experience.

Additional Required Department Minimum Qualifications:

Valid U.S. driver's license required. Must be at least 21 years of age and have an acceptable motor vehicle report as determined by the insurance carrier. 58 Monthly (exempt): - Minimum - $ 37065.60 Midpoint - $ 53747.16
