Job Responsibilities

Designs web page templates and graphic images (e.g. buttons)

Creates and implements the College’s visual brand with creativity and appropriateness for a variety of media (including interactive, print and broadcast) and target audiences

Designs rich interactive pieces to support marketing goals including banner ads and e-cards

Works with the College’s Information Technology Services department to upgrade functionality

Prioritizes workload of multiple projects to meet deadlines, tracks project progress using project management software and other tracking tools and maintains files in a manner that is accessible to others

Performs quality checks of final designs/proofs to ensure accuracy of content and design

Consults with clients to evaluate individual project needs in collaboration with Creative Director, Project Manager and Director of Content

Performs other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE/TRAINING

Bachelor’s degree and/or a minimum of two years’ experience working in websites using CMS Platforms, Java Script, CSS, SharePoint and basic HTML

Demonstrated knowledge of and experience with Adobe Creative Suite, specifically Dreamweaver, Photoshop and InDesign

Demonstrated experience making sound decisions that affect a work unit or team

Demonstrated experience in a role requiring diverse problem solving methods in a variety of situations

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES

Ability to effectively respond to requests from multiple levels of the College in various departments

Ability to effectively complete work assignments independently

Possesses comprehensive knowledge of current interactive design technologies theories, concepts and practices with the ability to use in complex, difficult and/or unprecedented situations as it pertains to the departmental focus

Possesses strong organizational and time-management skills

Possesses excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills

Possesses excellent proofreading and editing skills

Ability to foster a team environment and work collaboratively

Ability to research and analyze issues and develop solutions

Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a deadline-driven environment

Works accurately with great attention to detail

Excellent customer service skills and proven ability to develop and sustain productive customer relationships

Ability to effectively respond to requests from multiple levels of the College in various departments

Demonstrated basic project management skills

Demonstrated intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint

Ability to confidentially and discreetly handle subject matters requiring privacy and sensitivity

Ability to collaborate, persuade, gain cooperation and acceptance of ideas on significant projects

Ability to collaborate, negotiate and resolve conflicts on major projects
