Detailed Job Description

Responsible for the overall management of Metro State College's creative services efforts, this position oversees the development and implementation of design concepts and creative approaches while with working with the Sr. Director of Marketing in championing a strong brand identity for Metro State.
Provides oversight and long-term planning of graphic design projects.
Creates visual solutions for effective branding and identity, while working with clients to create polished concepts and products.
Manages creative team in the development and implementation of design concepts, graphic images, photography, publications/marketing collateral and digital products to support and enhance institutional branding.
Employ best practices for delivering information, visually using the College's key messages in a professional and compelling manner.
Works to establish project objectives, and ensure timely delivery of products that visually tell the College's brand effectively.
Set goals for the Creative Services team that ensure quality and integrity, using expert knowledge of graphic design for print, communications strategies, information design and architecture.
Coordinates with the Sr. Director of Marketing and Web Communications area to integrate print and electronic media to meet college graphic identity guidelines.
Coordinates design of collateral materials including print and online recruitment, informational and promotional materials; and advertising campaign materials including ads, commercials, outdoor advertising, etc.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a communications related field and seven years experience in creative services or graphic design.
Demonstrated expertise in applicable computer applications, photography, typography, printing processes and other production processes for producing finished pieces.
Demonstrated ability to think strategically, to manage multiple priorities, to work under deadline and to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment.
Demonstrated creativity, resourcefulness and a collaborative personality.
Skills and experience in developing and implementing a creative services plan.

Preferred Qualifications

A Master's Degree. Higher education experience. Skills and experience in developing a branding program.
