Detailed Job Description
The Physician Assistant Program at Quinnipiac University invites applications for a Coordinator of Interprofessional Education, Simulation and Outcomes in Physician Assistant Studies. This is a full-time, 12 month clinical faculty position. Reporting directly to the Program Director, the successful candidate will be responsible for both curricular and administrative aspects of the PA program.
The primary responsibilities of this position include: engaging with the university's Center for Interprofessional Healthcare Education (CIHE) in the development and implementation of interprofessional curriculum; development and management of simulation across the PA curriculum; teaching at the graduate and undergraduate level; student advisement; evaluation and analysis of program learning outcomes as well as active participation in PA program committees and community outreach.
Additional responsibilities will include: assisting the PA faculty in grant writing; oversight of medical informatics; data mining and assisting with the development of research opportunities.
Required Minimum Qualifications
Qualifications for this position include graduation from an accredited physician assistant program, minimum of an earned Master's Degree, minimum of three years current clinical experience, current NCCPA certification and eligibility for licensure in the State of Connecticut. Advanced computer skills required with proficiency in using clinical evaluation software. Experience in PA education is desirable.
In addition, the ideal candidate will be expected to engage in scholarship, maintain clinical practice hours and participate in university service including representation on the Interprofessional Education Committee.
