Under the general direction of the Assistant Vice President for Scholarship and Faculty Development, performs and/or oversees a variety of administrative, reporting, and planning activities, some of which require advanced or specialized knowledge and skills, such as grant compliance procedures and reporting, specialized record keeping and database management, and/or specified information gathering projects and tasks.
Graduation from an accredited institution with a bachelor’s degree or any combination of education and/or experience totaling four years.
Graduation from an accredited institution with a bachelor’s degree or any combination of education and/or experience totaling four years. Previous experience with web site maintenance preferred, but not required.
Knowledge of internal control procedures and accountability practices related to academic grants and university policy.
Familiarity with Department of Education compliance reporting and compliance guidelines.
Knowledge of office equipment, computer programs and current financial reports.
Skill in office methods, techniques, practices and procedures.
Skill in the use of computers and computer software applications, including word processing, spreadsheets, email, and databases. Interpersonal and problem-solving skills, decision-making and public relation skills.
Skill in effective communication, public speaking, and rapport-building, organization and maintenance of effective records management and information systems.
Ability to perform a variety of administrative support duties with minimum supervision.
Ability to follow oral and written procedures and instructions.
Ability to maintain confidentiality of highly sensitive information.
Ability to apply effective general principles to specific conditions and policies.
Ability to follow written/oral procedures and instructions and deal with the public effectively and courteously.
