Course Developer


Seeking an experienced Curriculum/Program Developer to design, develop and update content around IT Security and Privacy new education programs. This position is responsible for the production, implementation, support, and project management of technical education assets and coordination of delivery, which may include live classroom, web, video and/or online based courses leveraging the latest course authoring technologies. 


• Provide consultative services, and act as a liaison with cross-functional work teams, key stakeholders and subject matter experts to develop a series of course specifications and gather course content

• Develop and design program content in coordination with one or more subject matter experts ensuring effective and sustainable learning assets, curriculum, and programs

• Develop course guidelines, templates, learning objectives, audience analysis, course structure activities and learning strategies

• Create e-learning assets, hands-on labs, and instructor-led course curriculum to meet the needs of the target audience

• Expand hands-on lab exercises to reinforce the learning experience

• Support interview and selection of subject matter expert instructors for each course

• Work with instructors on synchronous and asynchronous programs

• Work with subject matter experts to assess and revise content, learning modules, course materials based on feedback to improve the overall learning experience

• Track project timeframes, manage project deadlines and make sure all projects are ready by the launch date 

• Facilitate and manage training sessions, as needed

• Maintain courses by keeping abreast of release changes that may affect content, and by gathering feedback from students and instructors


• 3-5 years or equivalent experience in developing classroom and e-learning content 

• Demonstrated ability to write and design exceptional training content and activities 

• Knowledge of e-learning instructional design methodologies and tools 

• Ability to develop extensive educational materials

• Demonstrated ability to develop innovative, creative and highly interactive design solutions in both physical and virtual learning environments

• Proven ability to develop strong working relationships with subject matter experts to validate course design and content

• Ability to build effective relationships by using communication skills, both written and verbal 

• Knowledge of techniques for evaluating the effectiveness of instructional/educational programs

• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively 

• Proficient in MS Office applications Proficient with Adobe Presenter and Adobe Connect

• Excellent written and spoken communication skills

• Excellent interpersonal skills with all levels – students to CEOs

• Strong sense of accountability/responsibility/meeting deadlines 

• Strong organizational and prioritization skills 

• Problem-solving skills and strong project management skills
