Perform circulation/access desk duties and supervise student circulation and stack maintenance personnel.
Circulation/access duties, including checking library materials in and out, registering patrons, collecting fees, and dealing with problem patrons.
Supervising student circulation and stack maintenance workers, including shelving, shelf reading, filing loose-leafs, shifting projects.
Some training of student workers in their duties.
(1) Certificate in library technology, or significant library circulation experience.
(2) Experience working with an integrated library system.
(3) Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
(1) Experience in circulation/access at a public library.
(2) Two years full-time library experience.
(3) AA degree or equivalent.
The hiring range for this position is dependent upon qualifications and departmental equity. Benefits of employment include a generous 10% contribution to the University’s 403B retirement plan.
