Saint Leo University is creating a pool of potential adjunct instructors to teach online courses through the Saint Leo University Distance Learning center. Distance Learning is looking for applicants to teach in the area of Sociology, particularly as it relates to the area of Saint Leo’s University Explorations program, an undergraduate general education program with a topical focus that demonstrates the relevance of the liberal arts and sciences to today’s world. Such topics can include The McDonaldization of Society and Building a Multiracial Society.
Appointments are for immediate and upcoming terms.

An adjunct instructor is a term-to-term appointment with responsibility to students, course material, expected pedagogy, classroom instruction and the administrative and reporting requirements of Distance Learning.
A Master’s degree and 18 graduate credit hours in
-- or a closely related field is the minimum requirement for undergraduate programs. The degree must be from a regionally accredited institution.
A Master’s degree and at least 18 graduate credit hours in Sociology is the minimum requirement for undergraduate programs. The degree must be from a regionally accredited institution.
A Doctorate degree in Sociology from a regionally accredited institution is preferable.
