Supervise web development and IT staff. Oversee operation and maintenance of all College of Technology and Computing related web sites, databases, and specific IT systems. Design and implement software solutions for delivery of courses via the internet. Manage web security, data protection and backups. Determine web delivery software needs and solutions.
Essential Functions, Major Duties, and/or Accountabilities:
-Monitors server uptime and usage and maintains security of servers and backup process.
-Evaluates server hardware/software needs, acquire new systems, renew current systems, administrate user access, perform hardware installation & maintenance as required, acquire, maintain, & configure online assets: domain names, SSL certificates, etc.
-Analyzes and develops integration between different database systems, program the DEV learning management system courses, analyze and develop integration between College of Technology and Computing systems and other campus systems (Banner), analyze and design database schema, develop interfaces for database systems, set-up and configure College of Technology and Computing supporting systems, analyze, design, create, and maintain College of Technology and Computing web sites.
-Create instructional media in several formats including: HTML, Flash, PDF, Photoshop, etc.
-Analyze, develop & deploy access security models for instructional media. Support faculty with multimedia presentations.
-Direct the production of print media.
