The Department of Social Sciences is seeking qualified candidates for a full-time, tenure track faculty position with responsibilities as the Regional Academic Director for the School of Arts and Sciences. Responsibilities include teaching psychology courses at our Savannah center in Georgia and providing local/in region academic leadership and support for faculty, students and academic programs for the School of Arts and Sciences in the Georgia region.
This is a twelve (12) month, year round, full-time faculty appointment with two (2) months release time to be determined in consultation with the department chair.
This position is pending final budgetary approval for the 2014-2015 academic year.

An exceptional candidate possessing a doctorate degree with experience may be considered at the Associate level.
This faculty member and Regional Academic Director will be required to:
• Teach undergraduate, non-traditional students;
• Advise and mentor students;
•Provide support for screening and hiring adjunct faculty at the centers
•Provide support for faculty training and programs at the centers
•Provide academic oversight for curriculum, scheduling, and advising at the centers
•Facilitate effective communication between center management and campus administration concerning faculty, students, and academic programs at the centers
• Engage in curriculum development;
• Support recruiting efforts;
• Demonstrate professional development
• Undertake community service in keeping with the school’s Benedictine values;
• Demonstrate the ability to use current technology related to teaching.
Successful applicants should have experience with non-traditional students, should have some administrative experience (broadly defined), and experience with the latest teaching-related technology including online teaching and/or developing and/or Blackboard, eCollege or another related delivery method.
Earned doctorate in Psychology with teaching experience.
Earned doctorate with teaching experience and some administrative experience (broadly defined).
