Saint Leo University is creating a pool of potential adjunct instructors to teach undergraduate Economics classes at our Shaw Center located in Sumter, SC.


Appointments are for immediate and upcoming terms. Acceptance into the adjunct pool does not guarantee a teaching appointment.

Basic Function:

Adjunct instructor is a term-to-term appointment with responsibility to students, course material preparation, and classroom instruction.


An Adjunct Faculty position to teach at the Shaw AFB and Sumter, SC sites.


This individual needs to be able to teach in multiple instructional formats including traditional, blended, and via Video Teleconference (VTT). Ability to utilize technology to supplement instruction is required.


The qualified selected individual will currently reside in or near the Sumter, SC area and will teach classes in Economics.

Required Education/Experience/Skills:

A Master’s degree and 18 graduate credit hours in Economics is the minimum requirement for undergraduate programs. The degree must be from a regionally accredited institution.

Minimum Qualifications:

A Master’s degree and at least 18 graduate credit hours in Economics is the minimum requirement for undergraduate programs. The degree must be from a regionally accredited institution.

Preferred Qualifications:

A Doctorate degree in Economics from a regionally accredited institution is preferable.
