The Assistant Vice President of Enrollment leads marketing and enrollment activities for undergraduate Saint Leo University Campus students. This role is responsible for development of enrollment strategies, creation of publication and marketing material, development and maintenance of budgets, and leadership and coaching of staff. It is essential that this individual is technology proficient, understands the traditional student market and competition, and remains current with enrollment practices and research.

The Assistant Vice President is responsible for maximizing the effectiveness of the student relationship management system as it relates to university campus enrollment, ensuring timely and valuable reporting, efficient workflows, and appropriate outreach. This role will work closely with academic deans and student services to provide an outstanding new student experience. The Assistant Vice President of Enrollment reports directly to the Vice President of Enrollment and Online Programs.

Basic Function:

Lead the hiring, training and management efforts of a 20+ team, including communication, campus visits, and admissions. Bring best practices in enrollment activities.

Develop a management team of strong leaders and coaches.

Work collaboratively with university stakeholders including academics, technology, and student services to ensure enrollment, retention, student satisfaction, and revenue objectives are achieved.

Set prospective student communication plan from the point of initial contact through matriculation.

Create strategies for the mining of prospective applicant data, and create a plan for outreach and follow through that maximizes enrollment potential of qualified students.

Foster a culture of excellence, community and integrity.

Provide clear processes to ensure employees have a solid understanding of their roles and responsibilities.

Develop initiatives to involve faculty, alumni and current students in the recruiting process.

Ensure compliance with all Saint Leo policies and all federal, state and accreditation requirements.

Develop an operating budget and manage it for maximum effectiveness for the attainment of enrollment and marketing goals and appropriate stewardship of college resources.

Perform all other duties as assigned.

Required Education/Experience/Skills:

Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university required; Master’s degree preferred.

Must have at least seven years of progressive enrollment management experience.

Experience managing a team of 10 or more employees.

Experience managing a budget, including setting budgets and budgetary priorities, forecasting, and meeting targets.

Ability and willingness to work evenings and weekends. Minimal travel required.

Proficiency with MS Office and managing databases required.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university required.

At least seven years of progressive enrollment management experience.

Experience managing a team of 10 or more employees.

Experience managing a budget, including setting budgets and budgetary priorities, forecasting, and meeting targets.

Preferred Qualifications:

Masters Degree from a regionally accredited college or university in a related field.
