Under general supervision of the Faculty Director and the University College Dean’s Office, performs moderately complex and confidential administrative support which requires a broad range of skills and knowledge of departmental and university policies and procedures. Composes, edits, and proofreads correspondence and reports and performs data analysis and data entry. Prepares a range of administrative documents, including reports. Advises faculty and students regarding the various functions and the programs for Math Refreshers. Maintains a social media presence for the Math Refresher program, and performs numerous marketing functions to increase awareness of and participation in the programs, including contacting potential participants and those who can assist with marketing the programs. Corresponds with other departments and groups on campus to facilitate the programs. Performs budgeting functions. Creates/proofreads course instructions/descriptions.
Graduation from an accredited institution with a bachelor’s degree or any combination of education and/or experience totaling four years.
Understanding of and familiarity with general education math courses.
Understanding of developmental math courses including arithmetic and algebra.
Knowledge of office methods, techniques, practices and procedures.
Skill in the use of computers and computer software applications, including word processing, spreadsheets, email, internet, and presentations.
Skill in the preparation and interpretation of reports, charts, graphs, and tables.
Strong interpersonal, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Exceptional customer service orientation and phone etiquette.
Solid creative, design, and multimedia skills.
Strong understanding of social media.
Strong editing and writing skills, including with written correspondence.
Ability to maintain confidentiality of highly sensitive information.
