Position: Assistant Professor of Secondary Special Education, Learning Disabilities (Tenure-Track)

Minimum Qualifications:
- Doctorate in Special Education
- Demonstrated evidence of ability to pursue a research agenda
- Expertise in learning disabilities
- Demonstrated experience in academic instruction of secondary students with learning disabilities
- Focus on academic interventions in learning disabilities and other mild disabilities
- Knowledge of curriculum requirements and trends in the discipline
- Ability to teach undergraduate and graduate courses in secondary high incidence/mild disabilities in areas of academic interventions, content literacy, transition and/or assessment and behavior management
- The ability to collaborate with a variety of stakeholders
- A commitment to diversity and excellence in higher education teacher preparation programs
- Minimum of three years experience teaching in secondary settings (grades 6-12)

Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of instructional and assistive technology applications and/or distance delivery
- Potential to pursue external funding
