The School of Education at Quinnipiac University invites applications and nominations for a full-time, non-tenure track faculty position in its Educational Leadership (EDL) Program. The position is a 12-month academic/administrative position, beginning August 2015.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will contribute to the continuous improvement of our innovative Sixth Year Diploma in Educational Leadership. Major responsibilities include: 1) managing and directing all aspects of the EDL Program; 2) teaching master’s and post-master’s level coursework in educational leadership; 3) advising program candidates; 4) supervising internships; 5) working cooperatively with local public schools, districts and administrators: and 6) participating on school and university-level committees as well as other professional service activities. Expertise in instructional leadership, including curriculum development, teacher supervision, and program evaluation, is required. 

Qualifications & Special Instructions to Applicants

The successful candidate will hold an earned doctorate in Educational Leadership or a related field from an accredited institution, as well as a record of outstanding service as a building-level administrator. A minimum of five years of leadership experience is expected. The successful candidate will demonstrate the potential to contribute to the intellectual vitality of the School of Education as well as the personal skills to work collegially with faculty and colleagues within and beyond the university.

Preference will be given to persons who have successful experience teaching in an educational leadership preparation program and with online learning environments. Successful experience with accreditation at the state and professional levels (i.e., NCATE, CAEP) is also preferred, though not required.
