Assess the needs of off campus student residents and administer programs to meet those needs
Serve as a resource person for students on matters related to living in residential neighborhoods
Assist with mandatory off campus orientation sessions
Develop and implement programmatic initiatives for students living in the neighborhoods adjacent to campus (including initiatives that would bring together students and neighborhood residents)
Assist with the development and administration of communications with off campus students and neighborhood residents
Serve as one of OCSL's S.N.A.P. (Student Neighborhood Assistance Program) representatives
Bachelor's degree; Master's degree in higher education or student affairs administration, counseling, or related field preferred
At least one year in undergraduate residence life/housing or related experience
Demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgment
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to take initiative and to work in a supportive and collaborative way with students, colleagues, and neighbors
Ability to work efficiently, attend to details, and follow through with assigned projects or tasks
Ability to work effectively with a flexible schedule that includes rotating weekend assignments, as well as attendance at some evening/nighttime meetings and events
Salary: $29,000, plus furnished apartment in one of the neighborhoods adjacent to the Georgetown University main campus, telephone, internet.
