The E-learning Specialist will work closely with faculty and other instructional design staff to design, develop, and produce online and hybrid courses. Candidate must be able to collaborate as part of a diverse team of instructional designers, technology specialists and administrators who are responsible for supporting all aspects of online teaching and learning across the disciplines.

Coach faculty in the use of our course management system and other supported tools.
Assist faculty in the design and development of online and hybrid courses.
Advise on instructional design methods for achieving desired learning outcomes.
Troubleshoot challenges encountered in the delivery of online learning environments.
Creating guides, tutorials and documentation for faculty and the instructional design team.
Evaluate and recommend appropriate technologies for adoption in online courses.
Work with instructional design staff for planning, production, editing and publishing of video assets for online courses.
Manage other departmental projects as required.
Bachelor’s degree, Master’s degree in instructional design, instructional technology or a related field strongly preferred.
A minimum of 2-3 years of experience supporting educational technology, instructional design and/or course development for online and blended learning.
Experience with Blackboard or other learning management systems.
Demonstrated ability to meet project deadlines with limited direct supervision.
Excellent writing and problem solving skills.
Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
Video capture and editing with software such as Adobe Premiere and After Affects.
Knowledge of HTML5, graphic design, Photoshop, multimedia and screen capture.
Knowledge of intellectual property, the Teach Act, universal design and Section 508 compliance.
Understanding of the Quality Matters course review process.
Knowledge of higher education curriculum.
