Detailed Job Description

Responsible for entering and updating data in the statewide Care About Childcare database according to the DWS/OCC contract. Oversees the parent child care referral phone line. Responsible for the childcare lending library which includes marketing, cataloging, organizing, and supervising the use of the library for staff and community childcare providers. Develops library materials to support Care About Childcare quality indicators and criteria.

Minimum Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED is required.

Preferred Qualifications

Associates in early childhood or related field ; CDA; and/or Level 4-10 on the Utah Career Ladder system.


Knowledge of early childhood gained from paid professional experience working in the early childhood field.
Working knowledge of computer programs and systems. An understanding of early childhood developmentally appropriate practices and and awareness of the Care About Childcare website.


Computer skills including Excel, email, Word documents, and data entry.
Professional phone skills.
Prior paid professional experience in the childcare field.


Ability to learn new computer skills.
Flexibility with work schedules and job requirements.
Ability to organize computer data and library resources.

Pay Range

$20,796 to $25,995 annually
