Detailed Job Description
This position is required to support Bentley's implementation of Salesforce in several campus departments. The Sr. Application Support Analyst is responsible for working with Bentley operational departments to ensure a successful implementation of Salesforce, and Salesforce applications, integration with existing enterprise applications, and ongoing support and governance of the Salesforce environment. The Sr. Application Support Analyst is responsible for ensuring that Salesforce is implemented as an enterprise product that is robust and flexible enough to be used by multiple departments at Bentley.
Additional Description of Duties:
Play a key role in configuring an enterprise Salesforce environment at Bentley, including initial system setup, security, user roles, and the architecture of interfaces between Salesforce, Banner, and other university systems.
Lead the setup and maintenance of the Salesforce data model and configuration governance.
Provide day-to-day end-user support (including system configuration, complex formulas and system maintenance) and work with operational department heads and managers to establish and implement best practices with regards to release management, system maintenance, configuration, development, testing, data integrity, etc.
Perform enterprise administrator functions such as user management, profiles, roles, permissions, rules, assignment rules, queues, licenses, capacity and storage management.
Work closely with operational departments to create a shared governance process around the development of dashboards, reports, forms, templates, page layouts workflows and approvals, creation and maintenance of custom objects, object relationships, standard and custom fields.
Work with end users to provide best practices and tips on Salesforce usage including training, documentation and support as necessary.
Customize reporting and dashboards for various teams, provide reports and report training.
Manage and maintain third party apps making recommendations on tools that will provide better user experiences and efficiencies.
Stay current with Salesforce releases and corresponding documentation and provide new functionalities and solutions as needed.
Establish and implement best practices: system maintenance, security, improvements, data integrity, duplicates, backups, etc.
Minimum of either an Associate's degree (preferred in Computer Science or related field), with a minimum of 5 years of experience administering or developing CRM applications or a Bachelor's degree (preferred in Computer Science or related field), with a minimum of 3 years of experience administering or developing CRM applications.
Proficiency in Salesforce administrative tasks like creating Profiles, Roles, Users, Page Layouts, e-mail services, Workflows, Reports, Dashboards, Approvals and Tasks.
Good understanding of the Salesforce licensing structure and various services offered by Salesforce.
Ability to model business processes as data structures and applications in Salesforce.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Detail-oriented with strong documentation skills.
The ideal candidate will have a record of setting up and configuring Salesforce or other CRM applications for the first time use in an organization, and to have played a central role in developing the CRM data models, security structure, and workflows.
