Hire adjunct faculty for associate degree nursing programs.
Create and manage the academic and clinical schedule for the associate degree nursing program.
Prepares course schedules and makes instructional assignments in collaboration with the Lab Director and Program Managers.
Collaborates with faculty to manage full time and adjunct faculty workload.
Collaborate with faculty to determine appropriate clinical affiliate sites each semester.
Works collaboratively with Program Managers, Project Coordinator, peers and office staff to oversee, monitor, maintains and revise the division student database.
Tracks, advises and admit applicants to the associate degree nursing program.
Prepares and presents the nursing program review to College administration according to the review cycle.
Provides input related to yearly annual reports for program accreditation and Ohio Board of Nursing.
Assembles and leads the associate degree nursing advisory board committee meetings.
Maintains communication with clinical affiliate liaisons to inform, manage and resolve programmatic concerns.
Works collaboratively with clinical coordinators in oversight of clinical adjunct faculty.
Markets program and recruits students.
Participates in division, college and professional activities/events.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE/TRAINING
Master’s degree in Nursing.
Completion of an approved professional nursing education program.
Current active licensure as a registered nurse in Ohio.
Minimum of five years’ experience in the practice of nursing as a registered nurse, two years of which have been as a faculty member in a nursing program.
A minimum of two years administration experience.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Knowledge of education administration and current accreditation and licensure procedures.
Ability to adapt to dynamic multipurpose campus organizational and work environments.
Ability to be a successful advocate for new initiatives in curriculum delivery.
Ability to understand and embrace the mission of the community college.
Possess the energy and persistence to motivate and support others to pursue the larger goal.
Skilled in building strategic alliances within and across disciplines, and within and outside of the college.
Sensitivity to respond appropriately to the needs of a diverse population.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES
Extensive experience in higher education.
College Business hours are Monday – Friday 8:30am – 5:00pm. Evenings and weekends as needed.
