Detailed Job Description

The Adult Basic Skills Department at Mt. Hood Community College is accepting applications for an Associate Dean. Reporting to the Dean of Instruction and in collaboration with faculty and other divisional administrators, provides support in the overall direction and management for assigned departments that supports the vision, mission, and strategic goals of the College. Assists the dean in the development, implementation, evaluation and management of assigned instructional programs, services, budget and division employees. Provides leadership in educational assessment, strategic planning and budgeting, and employs enrollment management and retention strategies. In the absence of the dean, assumes responsibility for the operation of the division.

Minimum Qualifications
•Master's degree in adult education or related discipline
•Three years of related teaching experience in one or more of the unit disciplines
•One year of instructional administrative experience
•Experience working with diverse backgrounds and demonstrated commitment to promoting access and diversity
