Detailed Job Description

Under general supervision, the IT Technical Specialist I performs a variety of standard and non-standard specialized or technical IT support services following established procedures. Some evaluation, originality or ingenuity is required.

Additional Department Summary:

This position will be responsible for IT support for the Office for Sponsored Programs (OSP) including supporting existing systems and applications and developing and publishing web content. The position will also assist with technical support in other offices within Research and Economic Development (RED) in relation to applications used collaboratively with OSP and in coordinating publication of web content with the Center for Instructional Technology (CIT)

Required Minimum Qualifications

Associates degree or higher and some experience in a relevant IT field (Student or Graduate Assistant, Intern, or student oriented experience will be considered), OR any equivalent combination of experience, training, education and/or certification from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been obtained. To be considered student experience, it must be detailed in the employment section on the application. Knowledge of basic programming, networking, system, multimedia or instructional technology skills. May require specialized training or certification.

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor Degree in relevant field of study. One year experience in a relevant field. Understanding of University Grant Administration processes, as well as knowledge in use of various computer applications (e.g. Share Point, Form Fusion, Banner, Adobe products, Microsoft applications). Equivalent combination of University Research Administration experience, training, education and/or certification from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been obtained. Experience managing communications on website content, flow and production. 56 Monthly (exempt): - Minimum - $ 28537.56 Midpoint - $ 39956.76
