Detailed Job Description

Oversight in the curriculum delivery of the program: Oversight of designated courses in the Accelerated Bachelors of Science in Nursing (ABSN) and the traditional bachelors program. Collaborate with other nursing faculty for curriculum development and delivery. Maintain online and on campus course shells as consistent with the nursing faculty expections. Act as course coordinator for designated courses. This includes mentoring adjunct faculty, updating links, working closely with Directors of Nursing, and working with IT staff for troubleshooting as needed. Coordinate with lab and clinical faculty regarding policies, procedures, and grading for designated courses. Preference is for experience in teaching pediatric or psychiatric nursing.
Teaching: The teaching load will be determined by a contractual agreement with the Executive Associate Dean for Nursing and/or Dean for School of Health Professions & Education. Adhere to the Best Practices document to establish a productive, engaging, online and on campus learning environment.
Professional Development/Research: Continue active role congruent with American Association of University of Professors-Utica College (AAUP-UC) contractual agreement and professional interests.
Accountability: Report directly to the Executive Associate Dean for Nursing and the Dean of the School. Attend on campus meetings and events as outlined by the AAUP-UC contract. Attend department meetings. Make recommendations to the faculty regarding updating curriculum in the areas of course oversight.
May perform other related duties as assigned, including participating on committees, teams, or task forces.
