The Department of Social Work at the Metropolitan State College of Denver is seeking applicants for a tenure-track faculty position as Assistant Professor for Human Behavior and the Social Environment (HBSE) course sequence starting Fall 2012.
The successful candidate will teach in the HBSE concentration area in the MSW program. They will update and modify online and on campus course material, advise students, serve on committees, participate in professional development and community activities and other duties as assigned by the Chair. The successful candidate must have the ability to work with and be sensitive to the educational needs of a diverse urban population.
This faculty will develop innovative strategies to recruit and mentor majority and minority students with particular sensitivity to "first in the family" college students.
80% Teaching graduate coursework in the Social Work program; includes developing curriculum
20% Advising, professional development, service and other duties as assigned by the Chair.
