The Culverhouse College of Commerce at The University of Alabama invites applications for the newly created Fayard Endowed Chair in Accounting, a tenure-track faculty position at the rank of Associate Professor or Full Professor, in The Culverhouse School of Accountancy beginning August 16, 2015.

Candidates should have an earned doctorate, be a nationally recognized scholar, and have a very strong and consistent record of publications in top-tier accounting journals. Applicants must also exhibit excellence in teaching, including an interest in teaching a PhD seminar and in working with PhD students. Strong preference will be given to candidates who conduct behavioral accounting research. Applicants can expect to teach undergraduate and graduate level accounting courses, and engage in University, College, and Departmental service activities. We welcome applications from those engaging in all areas of accounting research and teaching. Applicants must demonstrate a strong record of relevant research and teaching appropriate for the level of appointment.

Salary is Competitive.
