The School of the Arts and Professions seeks candidates who can provide competent management for the bureaucratic aspects of running a department. The successful candidate will be required to teach two classes per semester; engage in extensive service to the school and university communities; foster an inviting, collegial atmosphere; and provide leadership to junior and senior faculty. Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications: Candidates must have a Ph.D. or M.F.A in one of the disciplines housed in the department. Candidates must have a record of scholarship, successful teaching experience, and administrative experience in curriculum planning, program and faculty development, personnel supervision, budget management, and success in obtaining external grants. Candidate should have the ability to manage the details involved in running a department and a style of leadership that encourages collegiality and a positive working environment.
