Responsible for developing and teaching the new Advanced Manufacturing continuing education courses that yield manufacturing industry certifications for the M-PATH program. Develops, plans, organizes, teaches, and provides feedback to promote and direct student learning in keeping with Valencia College's learning centered values and in a manner that meets the essential competencies of a Valencia College educator.
Primary Work Location
1.Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution or applicable Manufacturing Industry Certifications. 2.Personal experience in hands-on Manufacturing 3.Experience teaching and training, instructing and mentoring in a hands-on manufacturing environment. 4.Teaching experience at the community college level or work related training experience focused on manufacturing training and / or national industry certifications. 5.Professional commitment to education. 6.A demonstrated commitment to diversity. 7.Ability to perform all of the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.

Working with other members of the staff to cover needed subject areas and questions for students seeking a career in manufacturing. 9.Ability to design and implement curriculum that aligns with manufacturing industry competencies and enhance skills needed for employment. 10.Commitment to stay current and continually improve knowledge and understanding of the manufacturing industry trends, directions and technology. Essential Job Functions
1.Developing, evaluating and refining curriculum based on the M-PATH training path and the needs of the college's manufacturing partners. Plan and review these development projects with the Director and staff. 2.Prepares for and conducts instructor-led courses, workshops and/or hands-on labs. 3.Prepares instructional materials. 4. Provides feedback on students' progress, including evaluation of student mastery of course and program outcomes. 5.Communicates effectively with M-PATH staff and Director regarding student issues. 6.Prepares and submits required documentation including course syllabi, student attendance, final course grades, and other information as requested or required by the college. 7.Participates in department/division staff meetings. 8.Maintains and disseminates current information pertaining to services available to students throughout the college. 9.Is familiar with and maintains behavior and actions consistent with college policies. 10.Maintains professional development/growth according to personal needs, in fulfillment of annual performance plans, and as required for certification. 11.Stays abreast of the trends in the industry by reading professional and trade journals, meeting with industry leaders and attending learning events such as conferences and webinars. 12.Perform other related duties as assigned.
