Executive Director, Administration and Finance
IUPUC—Indiana University-Purdue University Columbus—has delivered high-quality undergraduate and graduate degree programs aligned with and responsive to regional educational needs since 1970. Applications are being accepted for a full-time Executive Director of Administration and Finance.
The Executive Director of Administration and Finance serves as a senior administrator for Indiana University-Purdue University Columbus (IUPUC). The primary responsibilities of this position are to manage the fiscal affairs of IUPUC, ensuring the proper assessment, collection, depositing, and distribution of all campus income. This position provides budgetary direction and support to all campus units and ensures that budget controls are in place and all academic divisions and campus offices are in compliance. In addition, this position provides oversight for all administrative areas of IUPUC to include facility services, human resources, security, special events, parking services, and the café and has direct supervisory responsibility of the directors and/or managers of these departments. As a senior administrator, this position is an integral part of the strategic planning of IUPUC by collecting and analyzing institutional data to identify trends and opportunities for growth. Collaborates with the Vice Chancellor and other senior administrators to develop and implement strategies that reflect the mission, vision, and values of IUPUC. Serves as IUPUC’s representative for both internal and external constituents (e.g., university meetings, working partnership with the Community Education Coalition of Columbus, and various companies doing business with IUPUC) and provides leadership in the development of programs, facilities, and entrepreneurial activities.
REQUIREMENTS: Master’s degree is preferred; bachelor’s degree is required plus six to eight years of experience in higher education financial affairs, including the ability to create, develop, and interpret business practice policies. In addition, strong skills are required in the following areas: finance/accounting, computer/technical, and documented supervisory experience. Strong written and verbal communication skills, initiative and creativity, and professionalism, including a cheerful attitude and a good work ethic are required. Applicants must be able to work with both internal and external audiences. Experience with IU financial systems is preferred.
