PURPOSE: Provide vision and leadership for Life University’s strategic enrollment initiatives by taking responsibility for all aspects of recruiting and admitting student to successful matriculation. Develops plans to attract, enroll, and retain a growing and diverse student body. Must work closely with University administration, administrative units, and academic departments to set enrollment targets, recruit and retain students, and help market the University.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Leads, directs and oversees the operations of the Admissions Recruitment, Events and Tours Departments.
Directs staff job results by coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees, and planning, monitoring and appraising job results.
Creates and manages the departmental budgets.
Participates in weekly strategic enrollment planning with executive team to establish University goals and support the implementation of strategic goals and initiatives.
Develops and implements plans to grow efficiency and effectiveness of Admission, Recruitment, Events and Tours staff, including setting quantifiable standards of performance in order to give staff clear direction and identify possible changes.
Provides administrative and technical direction and supervision to the department staff and provide training as needed.
Oversees the development of short and long term recruiting plans for the University while fostering highly personalized service within the recruitment and admission process.
Works with the Recruitment department to determine recruiter travel to increase inquiries with limited travel expenditures.
Works with marketing for design and manage the production of Admissions and Recruitment marketing materials both electronic and paper copies in order to provide clear content, appealing designs to impress prospective students.
Analyzes data to determine staff effectiveness and enrollment trends to provide input into institutional decision making.
Advocates excellent service to and collaborative engagement with the University community. Ensures established policies, procedures and standards are followed.
Education, Training and/or Experience
Masters degree required in student personnel administration, higher education or related field
Minimum of (8) eight year’s experience in enrollment management; at least (4) four of those years at a director level in an operational capacity with budget development and accountability; coupled with experience directing management level staff within various areas of responsibility.
Doctoral degree preferred in student personnel administration, higher education or related field.
Demonstrated understanding of the mission, culture and environment of a private university.
Demonstrated track record in building an effective student recruiting and admissions program from the ground up.
Experience in the application of net revenue/tuition discounting models.
Demonstrated knowledge in higher education marketing.
Experience in recruiting and admitting students in a highly competitive market
Experience in recruiting students for health care disciplines
