Detailed Job Description
Serves as a member of the leadership team in the Office of the University Registrar. Directly responsible for managing and enhancing all processes within the Office of the University Registrar for Commencement coordination. Responsible for monitoring and maintaining database (Banner and degree audit) applications pertaining to student and curricular records. This professional registrar position is responsible for ensuring accuracy of student, advisor and curriculum records.
Directs workflow and assigns tasks to Office of the University Registrar support staff.
Coordinates and maintains the degree clearance and Commencement calendars including the internal office process calendars and calendars across the University.
Coordinates with other managers the end of term processing to award degrees.
Ongoing reports and communications. (Numbers, trouble audits, warning/delete communications, bursar holds)
Oversee, train staff and troubleshoot issues in Change of Program Staff Application
Oversee and troubleshoot issues in Advisor Assignment Application
Maintain Curricular tables inside Banner database
Works with CSI team:
Provides guidance to faculty, staff, Associate Deans, and Assistant Deans to facilitate accurate and appropriate curriculum requests.
Maintains the current degree audit to an interactive audit platform (IA) and to a degree planning tool for advisors and students (u.direct).
Ensures that curricular requests meet University policy and that there is coordination between the request and other dependencies, including the Ohio Board of Regents, degree audit, University information (i.e. web and publications such as The General Bulletin), scheduling, and student registration. Communicates and ensures compliance of these dependencies across the University.
Develop the workflow model for the course approval web site, automating the progression of courses as they migrate through the approval process. Develop training tools and train faculty and staff.

Bachelor's degree plus one year experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience, with increasing responsibilities; strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills congruent with collaborative management style.
Any equivalent combination of education and/or experience providing the knowledge/skills/abilities listed above may be substituted.
Experience in Miami's working version of Ellucian Banner student information system. Solid experience implementing and enhancing the College Source suite of products and Miami's version of Ellucian Banner information system.
Knowledge of Student Information Systems, Microsoft Office, (especially Excel and Microsoft Word), University policies, federal and state regulations, data analysis, effective communication, both written and verbal.
Experience in a Registrar's Office including functions and practices. Experience working within a team environment.
