Detailed Job Description
Reporting to the Director of Advancement Services and Operations, the Advancement Systems Project Manager's primary function is to manage all projects related to data imports and exports, report generation, data integrity, customer service and systems training.
Additional Description of Duties:
The Advancement Systems Project Manager:
Acts as project manager for all large scale department projects involving business analysts, records team and Institutional Advancement colleagues.
Works with the Director of Advancement Systems and Operations and other staff to reengineer existing processes, streamline current work and develop business processes using best practices for data storage, report production and gift reporting.
Provides Millennium, Cognos, Ticket system, and other technical systems training and support to internal divisional staff.
Manage the creation and implementation of data and business rules dictionary, documentation archive and division intranet
Works collaboratively with IT to coordinate and manage all Millennium system maintenance including system alerts, options, user security, and utilities including Standard and Custom.
Works collaboratively with IT to troubleshoot system interfaces, including Banner, Harris, iModules, Ruffalo Cody, Campus Call and others.
Supports the reporting needs of the division by providing complex reporting capabilities utilizing Crystal and Cognos.
Monitors system logs and nightly job runs.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field plus 2-3 years of relevant database and application systems experience, preferably in higher education or fundraising. Demonstrated technical, project management, systems analysis, technical training and programming skills required. Strong analytical/problem solving skills, understanding of fund-raising practices, and strong communication skills desired.
Experience with Relational Database Management, Cognos reports and Millennium fundraising software preferred.
