The Project Director has direct oversight and supervision of all M-PATH Advanced Manufacturing project activities including management of the budget, and hiring/supervision of personnel and contractors. This position serves as an internal data collector working in conjunction with the External Evaluator. This position serves as primary liaison and point of contact between M-PATH, the U.S. Department of Labor, Workforce Board, CareerSource Florida, Florida Department of Economic Opportunity, CareerSource Florida, U.S. Department of Education, and contractors.
Primary Work Location
1.Bachelor's degree required from an accredited college or university. Master's degree preferred. 2.Knowledge of the U.S. Department of Labor's Trade Adjustment Assistance program a plus. 3.Experience in working with local manufacturers pertaining to their workforce needs. 4.Prior grant experience is desired. 5.Training experience in the areas of manufacturing preferred. 6.Demonstrated ability in effective oral and written communication skills, planning, and organization. 7.Must be able to perform all of the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.

Essential Job Functions
1.Be the college's liaison to the Advanced Manufacturing community for training and grant workforce development. 2.Build VC's Brand awareness for the grant and M-PATH within the community. 3.Execute VC's manufacturing grant plan leading to the successful achievement of the defined metrics, goals and objectives while maintain full compliance. 4.Coordinate the development of the competency-based entry level certificate, Advanced Manufacturing Specialist (AMSC), engaging students in manufacturing and blending in the college's new student experience outcomes. 5.Coordinate the development, refinement, and review of the five (5) specialized pathways for students seeking industry specific certifications with hands-on training. 6.Initiate and cultivate innovation in current and future curriculum across the entire spectrum of advanced manufacturing programming. Create new frameworks 7.Maintain contact and work closely with manufacturing partners, associations (i.e. MACF & MAF) and community leaders to understand changes and challenges in the field. Researches new programming opportunities in manufacturing education and workforce development. 8.Develop M-PATH skilled pathways that articulate into VC's credit program. 9.Provides subject area expertise for course development and implementation where necessary. 10.Assist where necessary in recruitment, screening, and selection of candidates for the program. 11.Hire, supervise and evaluate M-PATH grant staff. 12.Work closely with VC's marketing department for public relations, advertising of the program and raising community awareness of the college's grant program and vision. 13.Assists manufacturing faculty and students in recruitment, orientation, academic advising, internship and placement follow up. 14.Engages manufacturing and community level partners in the establishment of funding and scholarships for talented candidates. 15.Coordinate, develop and work with college Dean on M-PATH stackable industry certifications that articulate into college credits certificates leading to an AS degree. 16.Communicates M-PATH and Manufacturing program college-wide 17.Responsibility for facilities management and maintaining an active role in technology trends that may affect functionality. 18.Oversee M-PATH's on-boarding and recruiting process. 19.Work closely with External Evaluator in the achievement of M-PATH metrics while maintaining grant compliance. 20.Perform other related duties as assigned. Advisory Committee: 1.Assists in coordinating and leading the Advanced Manufacturing Advisory Council (AMAC) and serves as its liaison. 2.Assists in recommending advisory committee members to the Division of CE COO and CPE Managing Director. 3.Assists in coordinating and expanding the functionality of the current AMAC and meeting twice a year. 4.Assists in the enhancement of the AMAC involvement and participation. 5.Coordinates a systematic program needs assessment plan as needed.
