Under general supervision, performs a variety of skilled plumbing and maintenance duties in the construction, maintenance, repair and alteration of facilities.
Graduation from a standard high school or the equivalent plus five years of trades experience directly related to the duties. Requires a well rounded knowledge of the practices, tools, equipment, methods and materials used in the plumbing trade.
Journeyman Plumber license is preferred, but not required.
Knowledge of plumbing installation, welding, maintenance, and repair skills.
Knowledge of water, and natural gas distribution systems maintenance and repair.
Skill in plumbing techniques to troubleshoot, analyze, and repair plumbing and related systems.
Skill in safe and efficient operation of hand and related tools of the trade.
Good verbal communication skills to deliver quality customer service with internal clients.
Ability to perform preventative maintenance according to published guidelines.
Ability to use hand and power tools applicable to trade.
Ability to read, understand, follow, and enforce safety procedures
