Job Responsibilities

• Manages day-to-day operations of the College’s learning assessment system
• Troubleshoots issues with users and assessment system vendor: Investigates, tests, and works with users and vendors to resolve system issues and to test new functionalities and system upgrades
• Develops and/or works with assessment system vendor to implement new functionality as needed
• Ensures data integrity; regularly audits data, reports, Banner integration, and the data upload process
• Works with IT to regularly audit security roles and user role assignments
• Collaborates with assessment system vendor, ITS, and Distance Learning to ensure successful integration among Banner, the learning management system, and the learning assessment system’s production and training servers
• Acts as helpdesk for assessment system
• Manages the Committee on Learning Outcomes Assessment (CLOA) workflow, including assessment planning, outreach efforts, and training, and serves as contact for subcommittees during outreach and assessment process
• Manages, responds to, and fills data requests from faculty and program managers
• Utilizes Argos and other reporting systems to extract and analyze data needed to support collection of general education artifacts
• Participates in periodic meetings focused on data analysis and reporting
• Works with Director to train and provide just-in-time coaching for faculty and program managers on utilizing the system’s direct and indirect measures of student learning and data collection to meet accreditation requirements via surveys, course evaluations, field experience evaluations, course assignments, artifact collection, and portfolios
• Develops and updates communication and training materials and delivers training workshops as needed for faculty, administrators, and the Committee on Learning Outcomes Assessment (CLOA) in order to educate users on assessment systems and processes
• Analyzes workflow, makes recommendations, and implements changes, including leveraging technology to continuously improve the learning outcomes assessment process
• Works with Director to review the ongoing efficacy of the particular learning assessment system
• Provides backup to Director to facilitate program assessment planning sessions
• Performs other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and/or minimum of three years of database management, assessment, and training experience
• Demonstrated experience laterally guiding the work of others
• Demonstrated experience effectively making decisions that have major implications on the management and operations within a department
• Demonstrated effectiveness in a role requiring dynamic and abstract problem solving methods in adaptive situations

• Ability to effectively respond to requests from multiple levels of the College in various departments
• Ability to independently set goals and determine best course of action to achieve desired results
• Possesses working knowledge of assessment systems concepts, practices, and procedures with the ability to use in varied situations as it pertains to the departmental focus
• Possesses intermediate project management skills
• Possesses intermediate skills with Blackboard or equivalent program
• Possesses intermediate skills with Banner System or equivalent program
• Possesses advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel
• Possesses basic proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Access, and PowerPoint
• Ability to confidentially and discreetly handle subject matters requiring privacy and sensitivity
• Ability to collaborate, persuade, gain cooperation, and acceptance of ideas on significant projects
• Ability to collaborate, negotiate, and resolve conflicts on major projects
• Ability to develop and maintain relationships with key contacts to enhance work flow and quality

Work Schedule

Standard College hours of business 8:30am – 5pm, Monday through Friday.
