Job Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

•Develops, maintains, and administers the College’s articulation and partnership agreements with K-12, agency, and university partners. Works closely with Integrated Communication to develop collateral market transfer opportunities for students.

•Provides leadership for the College’s Implementation and compliance of the Ohio Transfer Policy: Ohio Transfer Module, Transfer Assurance Guides (TAGS), and Career-Technical Assurance Guides (CTAG).

•Manages the College’s operations within the Ohio Board of Regent’s Course Equivalency Management System (CEMS). Works collaboratively with College faculty to insure Tri-C courses are submitted in a timely basis, gaining statewide transferability approval.

•Provides support for and coordination with faculty and administrators as requested from the Ohio Board of Regents.

•Develops, monitors, and maintains the electronic Transfer Center on the public web site, providing accurate transfer information to College staff and students.

•Coordinates and markets events and visits from four-year institutions on all College campuses, promoting opportunities for College students to learn more about bachelor completion.

•Directs processes to improve the awarding of timely and accurate credit in accordance with transfer and comparable credit award policies.

•Reviews and follows up on tasks and projects for tracking, compliance, and completion.

•Provides direction for designated College departments and staff in the awarding and maintenance of records for credit earned via experiential, transfer, and non-traditional learning.

•Researches, collects materials, prepares confidential information, and responds to requests from internal departments and external persons, groups, and agencies.

•Coordinates, evaluates, and improves Tri-C policies and procedures consistent with federal, state, and accrediting body regulations involving but not limited to FERPA, The Higher Learning Commission, and the Ohio Revised Code for its impact, and to ensure compliance and maximum transfer opportunities into and out of Tri-C.

•Handles confidential information and material and prepares confidential information.

•Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE/TRAINING

•Bachelor’s Degree and/or minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role at a higher education institution.

•Three years of experience working with Ohio transfer policies and course applicability system

•Experience working with state agencies

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES

•Team management, and strong analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills

•Ability to work with a wide spectrum of internal and external constituents

•Effective negotiation skills and ability to work collaboratively with regulatory agencies

•Skills in identifying correlations between academic programs and negotiating agreements

College standard hours of operation, M-F 8:30am – 5:00pm. Occasional evenings and weekends as needed by supervisor
