Reporting to the chair of the department, the position of assistant professor requires teaching, service, and research responsibilities as well as a terminal degree. The faculty member in this position is required to develop and teach undergraduate and graduate courses (lecture and laboratory); supervise MSAE theses and undergraduate projects; pursue scholarly activities (including research in the field, writing and managing grants, and preparing peer reviewed publications); engage in academic mentoring; assist in program assessment and execution of a continuous improvement plan; participate in professional service; and participate in professional activities and organizations. The position is a 9-month, tenure-track appointment, and the salary is competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience.
