Nursing faculty appointments are available August 1, 2015, in the Indiana University School of Nursing at IUPUC. The rank of these appointments will be clinical or tenure-track, depending on qualifications and research history.
Requirements for the clinical appointment include a master’s degree in nursing and two years of current clinical experience. Primary responsibilities for the clinical appointment include teaching, committee work, and community service. Eligibility for reappointment comes with the expectation of enrollment in doctoral studies within two years of the initial appointment. Additional requirements for the tenure-track appointment include a doctoral degree in nursing and clear evidence of the ability to establish a successful research program. Candidates must be eligible for licensure as a registered nurse in the state of Indiana. Teaching experience is preferred. Clinical teaching assignments may be in healthcare settings such as area hospitals.
IUPUC is located one hour south of Indianapolis, 1-1/4 hours from Louisville, and 1-1/2 hours from Cincinnati. Columbus is known for its world class architecture, wonderful programs for young children, many parks, excellent philharmonic orchestra, and people trails.
