Detailed Job Description

The Coordinator of Fieldwork Experience coordinates all facets of the supervised Clinical Teaching and intern programs both on main campus and on all ROC campuses.

Specific Duties

The program organization on main campus is duplicated on all ROC campuses.


• Hiring and training fieldwork supervisors
• Screening and placing supervised teachers
• Assigning and paying university supervisors
• Paying school-site supervisors
• Placing all students in Early Clinical Teaching and Supervised Teaching experiences
• Developing a Matrix for Early Clinical Teaching placements: ED 470: ED 462: ED 472
• Developing matrix for supervised teaching: ED 468: ED 478: ED 467
• Observing and evaluating a cadre of students for ED 468: ED 478: ED 467
• Conducting orientation meetings for school-site supervisors and school-site administrators regarding the supervised teaching and intern programs
• Meeting with school-site personnel and school-site administrators at school-sites
• Organizing Retreat Meeting at the end of the supervised teaching program

• Send letters and e-mail communications prior to ED 470 to request Clinical Teaching placements

• Send letters and e-mail communications prior to ED 468: ED 478: ED 467 to:

• Meet with all ED 470 students to arrange placement for Clinical Teaching
• Coordinate Clinical Teaching placement for ED 472
• Pre-orientation meetings with prospective students prior to each semester for ED 468: ED 478
• Orientation meetings for students prior to ED 468: ED 478: ED 467

Masters degree
Experience working in the K – 12 school system
Experience supervising individuals
