Provides administrative support and supervision to the campus math program with a focus on math courses with lab components.
Primary Work Location
1. Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution [required]; Master's degree preferred. 2. Teaching experience and supervisory experience preferred. 3. Experience in researching, developing, and assessing instructional strategies; establishing and maintaining records. 4. A demonstrated commitment to diversity. 5. Essential Job Functions
1. Plans, develops, organizes, and coordinates activities to support specified instructional programs to improve and enhance student performance in mathematics. 2. Collects, analyzes and reports on math student performance in areas designated as strategically important. 3. Conducts regular assessments to identify math program needs. 4. Supervises the development of campus course shells for designated math courses. 5. Coordinates and supervises departmental exams. 6. Supports professional development programs focused on mathematics faculty. 7. Supervises the development of resources for mathematics instructors and students. 8. May include supervision of designated full-time and part-time staff in the mathematics department. 9. Assists the Dean/Designee in the hiring and supervision of adjunct faculty members. 10. Assists the Dean/Designee in developing and revising the credit course schedule to align with the campus enrollment plan. 11. Acts as a liaison between math students, faculty and the administrative office. 12. Manages the math lab budget under the supervision of the Dean/Designee. 13. Collaborates with Learning Support in staffing and supporting the math support center. 14. Teaches up to 6 credit hours when required. 15. Performs other duties as assigned.
