Faculty Employment Opportunities

West Virginia University Institute of Technology (WVU Tech), a regional four-year campus and division of West Virginia University, located in Montgomery, WV, is inviting applications for the following employment opportunities:

Full-time Teaching Position in Management within the Department of Accounting and Management in the College of Business, Humanities and Social Sciences.  Position is 9-mo, full-time, tenure-track, and benefits-eligible.

Qualifications: Masters in Business Administration is required and a candidate also holding a Doctorate in Business or related field is preferred.  Effective teaching experience in management/marketing courses at a college level, and evidence of scholarly promise are highly desirable.  Excellent oral and written communication skills and a commitment to undergraduate teaching and mentoring are required.  The abilities to integrate new technologies in the classroom and teach web classes are preferred.

Responsibilities: The successful candidate will teach 24 credit hours per year of undergraduate courses.  Applicants who can teach a wide variety of both management and marketing courses, especially global marketing, sales management, retail management, consumer behavior, integrated promotions, marketing research are of particular interest to the department.  The position requires course delivery via in-seat and online modalities utilizing Blackboard.  The successful candidate will establish a record of professional development activities.  The position requires participation in both on and off-campus staff development activities, participation in college and community service, and assistance with student advising and recruitment.  Additional responsibilities include committee assignments, involvement with student organizations, attending regularly scheduled faculty and departmental meetings, and performing other duties associated with a faculty position.
