3 PART-TIME ESOL INSTRUCTORS: CENTER FOR ADULT EDUCATION PROGRAMS AND PRACTITIONERS: (Riverwalk Campus, Lawrence, MA) (MCCC/MTA Unit Position) Anticipated Start Date: December 8, 2014

2 Bridge to College and Careers program instructors: 370 hours/10-18 hours per week (12/8/14 -1/19/15 MW 12:00 PM-5:00 PM excluding intersession; 1/21/15-3/18/15 MW 9:00 AM–5:00 PM; 3/23/15-8/5/15 MW 12:00 PM-5:00 PM)

1 Adult Career Pathways program instructor: 220 hours/4-5.5 hours per week (12/8/14-1/19/15 TR 9:00 AM-1:00 PM excluding intersession; 1/20/15-5/22/15 TR 9:00 AM-2:30 PM)

  • Teach two classes per week of contextualized ESOL.
  • Integrate College and Career Readiness Standards for Adult Education (CCRSAE) and career awareness content.
  • Use common planning time to select/adapt/develop appropriate materials/methods that encourage student achievement.
  • Collaborate with other instructors, Coordinator, and Advisor to develop lesson plans.
  • Prepare a substitute packet.
  • Communicate on a frequent basis with students and colleagues via NECC email.
  • Maintain student records and portfolios.
  • Participate in bimonthly peer observation.
  • Be observed twice a semester and evaluated annually.
  • Assist in student recruitment and retention efforts.
  • Attend professional development and field trips as required.
  • Adhere to staff policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as requested by Coordinator or Executive Director.


Salary: $25.00 per hour
