FULL-TIME FACILITIES ENGINEER/PROJECT MANAGER: (Facilities Department) Haverhill and Lawrence Campuses. (Non-Unit Professional Position) Anticipated Start Date: November, 2014
Facilities Engineer/Project Manager reports to the Facilities Manager. This position supports both the Haverhill & Lawrence campuses. Responsible for continual maintenance of Facilities Archives of Plans and Projects. This position will also require interfacing with various state and local regulatory officials including but not limited to inspectors of various trades and disciplines as well as representatives from DCAMM and/or other agencies. Space planning, some site work, including drainage and underground utilities projects may be involved. Responsibilities and roles for this position may vary depending on projects and departmental requirements.
A relevant Bachelor’s degree required. Must have knowledge of plumbing, HVAC, electrical systems. Must have the ability to establish and publish clear, concise Scopes of Work utilizing established (Comm. of Mass.) formats. Ability to read, interpret and extract critical data from existing archival plans and projects required. Estimating Skills and/or familiarity with costing methods including R.S. Means desired. Project Management skills including familiarity with MS Project and/or Primavera Project Management Software strongly desired. Auto Cad knowledge or plan drawing and manipulation experience is a plus.
Salary: $50,000 to $57,000 per year, with complete fringe benefit package; Actual salary will commensurate with academic background and experience.
