Job Description:

Maintain student files including: Process records corrections, grade changes and registration correction for prior terms.  Problem solving online registration. Update student records by making changes to name, address, residency, test score, student program, major, etc. Processing withdrawals and creating a statistical report for academic records. Daily processes include mail handling, answering phones, responding to student records inquiries from the campus community. Assist department efforts to ensure collection and record keeping of all required documentation. Process information releases, provide backup coverage for enrollment desk, when necessary, assist in the coordination of commencement and other events as they arise, process enrollment verifications and requests from students and various agencies who requesting information about student enrollment. Other duties as assigned.

Commonwealth of Massachusetts Human Resources Division Classification Specification for Clerk V may be obtained at the Human Resources Office or at:

  • Four years of full-time or equivalent part-time experience in office work; of which at least one year must have been in a supervisory or administrative capacity
  • Completion of an educational program may substitute for up to two years of the work experience requirement
  • Knowledge and experience in standard office practices and procedures, knowledge of Word and Excel
  • Attention to detail, ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, excellent organizational, interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Proven ability to work with a diverse faculty, staff and student population
  • A Bachelor degree preferred

Bunker Hill Community College is a multi-campus institution with vibrant, urban campuses in Boston, Massachusetts, in nearby Chelsea, Massachusetts, and at three satellite locations in the Greater Boston area. Shift: Monday –Thursday 8:30a.m.-4:30p.m. & Friday  8:00a.m.-4:00p.m.
