The English department at the College of Saint Rose in Albany, NY seeks a tenure-track Assistant Professor of English, in Seventeenth-Century British literature and culture to begin in the Fall 2015 semester. The position requires the teaching of specialized courses and a range of introductory-level classes.
As a member of The College of Saint Rose faculty, the applicant is expected to teach assigned courses in accordance with relevant academic policies; participate in academic advising and program assessment; engage in scholarship; and, serve the College’s communities through participation in Department, School and College-wide committees and internal and external events.Requirements:
The successful candidate will have an earned Ph.D. in English by time of hire, and will be a specialist in Seventeenth-Century British literature and culture with a focus on nondramatic literature, including poetry. Candidates should have a demonstrated ability to work with and instruct a culturally diverse campus community.
