Serves as the Compliance/VA Certifying Official for the university. Advises students receiving VA Educational benefits from initial entrance testing through graduation. Monitors and tracks all course work taken by students and is accountable to the VA for maintaining appropriate and accurate records as required by statutes and/or regulations.
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a associate’s degree with two years of experience in youth programs or event management or a combination of education and experience related to the Summary of Duties totaling four years.
Graduation from an accredited institution with a bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field or any combination of education and/or experience related to the Summary of Duties totaling four years.
Knowledge of content and curriculum.
Knowledge of Veterans Educational Benefits regulations.
Knowledge of student advisement methods and techniques.
Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheets and database software such as Microsoft Office Suite and Banner.
Knowledge of filing and records management.
Skill in conflict resolution.
Skills in verbal and written communication.
Ability to be highly detailed in work related issues.
Ability to work independently on a multi-task level.
