Sullivan County Community College seeks a full-time Faculty member to teach courses in our two-year curriculum that prepares students for careers in the criminal justice field and coordinate the program. Core courses in the curriculum include: Criminal Investigation, Juvenile Justice, Police Operations, Inmate Treatment/Correctional Administration, Criminal Law and Procedure, Introduction to American Law, Constitutional Law, Criminology and Forensic Psychology. Coordination of the program includes recruiting and advising students, scheduling and recommending instructors to teach, acting as liaison to local law enforcement agencies and curriculum development and revision. Appointment will begin with the 2011-2012 academic year.
Qualifications: Masters degree (required) in Criminal Justice, Law or other related field with at least five years teaching experience. Conducting workplace training may be substituted for formal classroom teaching experience.
