The Assistant Director of Alumni Relations will assist the Director of Alumni Relations, in building and marketing a successful Alumni Relations program. The Assistant Director will be responsible for developing strategic website and social media content, managing and marketing QU’Net the alumni online community, planning and executing signature alumni events, and working with members of the Alumni Association National Board of Governors to support regional chapter events.

Collaborate with the Director of Alumni Relations and members of the Development & Alumni Affairs staff to strategically market Quinnipiac’s Alumni Relations program.
Plan and execute strategic use of digital resources (e.g. the Quinnipiac Alumni website, Facebook, Twitter, Flickr, Instagram) to engage Quinnipiac alumni and promote the goals of Development & Alumni Affairs.
Create content and measure effectiveness of digital marketing efforts for Development & Alumni Affairs.
Oversee the content, function and marketing of QU’Net, the alumni online community using the iModules Encompass system.
Utilize the iModules Encompass system to create, schedule and deploy strategic broadcast email campaigns to support the goals of Development & Alumni Affairs.
Work with University staff, volunteers, and vendors to successfully plan and execute events to support the goals of Development & Alumni Affairs.
Work with members of the Alumni Association National Board of Governors to support the goals of the Alumni Association.
Occasionally travel and/or work nights/weekends to support Development & Alumni Affairs programs.
Bachelor’s degree required – Field of study: communications, public relations, marketing, business or closely related field.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Proven marketing expertise with results required.
Fluency in social media platforms required.
Good organizational skills and ability to handle concurrent projects.
Ability to set goals, develop action plans, and adhere to hard deadlines.
Must be able to think creatively, exercise independent judgment and work in a fast-paced environment.
Dependability and accuracy are essential for the successful candidate.
