The Department of Information Systems, Statistics, and Management Science in the Culverhouse College of Commerce at The University of Alabama invites applications for one or more non-tenure earning three-year renewable clinical instructor positions in Management Information Systems starting January 1, 2015.
These positions will be responsible for a combination of traditional classroom instruction along with mentoring student teams in executing corporate sponsored systems development projects. A Master’s degree in Management Information Systems or a related field such as Computer Science or Software Engineering is required along with 5 or more years of relevant industry experience in information technology and systems development or project management. Some experience with team leadership, project management, and program management is preferred.
These positions are non-tenure earning positions renewable for three-year periods at the discretion of the University with no expectation of continued employment beyond any three-year contract period. Continuation of this appointment to its scheduled termination date is dependent upon meeting the departmental and college performance standards and compliance with all policies in the faculty handbook and general UA employment policies.
