Job Description:

Instructor needed to teach Introduction to Physician Billing, which presents the revenue cycle concept, including registration practices and the impact this process has on the billing function.  The various health care delivery systems and the history of the delivery of medical care are presented.  The various reimbursement systems for data collection and billing are discussed.  The principles of ICD and CPT coding, the management of data, and the changing regulations of CMS and other external are reviewed.  Aspects of claims submission and denial are also examined.

This course meets Tuesday evening from 5:30 to 8:15 p.m. on the Chelsea campus.


  • Professional Experience in the field and Bachelor Degree required, Master’s preferred.
  • Experience with Learning Communities or openness to engaging in the teaching of Learning Communities
  • Proven ability to work with a diverse faculty, staff and student population
  • Community college teaching experience preferred

Salary: $986.00 Per Credit Hour

Effective Date: Spring semester, 2015. Open until filled.
